Great Floridian Open Water Swim

When:
Saturday, October 24, 2015. 7:45am Start for both the 1.2 and 2.4 mile swims.

Where:
Clermont Waterfront Park, Clermont, Florida. Clermont is centrally located just 22 miles west of Orlando at the junction of US 27 and SR 50. Major Orlando tourist attractions are only 30 minutes away and the ocean beaches are just an hour away. Orlando International Airport is 40 minutes southeast of Clermont.

Swim Course:
Select either a 1.2 or a 2.4 mile swim in picturesque Lake Minneola, designated as "Outstanding Waters" by the State of Florida. Projected water temperature: 72-80. The 2.4 swim course is a 2 lap course where swimmers exit the water at the end of the first lap and then immediately start lap 2.  The 1.2 mile swim is a single lap.

Eligibility:
Open to individuals 12 years of age or older on race day. The right to accept or reject any entry is reserved. All participants must be a member of USAT or purchase a one-day USAT license at check-in.

Support:
More than 10 certified lifeguards, a Sheriff's rescue boat and diver along with many volunteers are committed to make your race a safe and memorable experience.

Amenities:
Timing chip (timing provided for personal enrichment only, no awards will be given), participant t-shirt, swim cap, finisher medal, post-race refreshments, complete race results and other goodies.

Average temperature on race day: Low 65 - high 85.
